I made this model in Blender and then I put rendered it into an image. I extruded the cube mesh and then I inset the center of it to make it hollow. The lid of the chest was made by cutting a cylinder in half and extruding the lines to add volume and variations. The lock was made by adding a loop cut, insetting towards the center, then extruding to make it 3D. I separated the rim of the chest to make another mesh and added a texture image as the material to make it more metallic and I also made the lid more round. Added some gold in the chest and two hinges.
